My laptop does this weird thing when I play single player minecraft

So, this only happens when i'm playing singleplayer, I usually play on a server but its annoying. Anyway, I usually like to listen to music while playing, so i open google and have YouTube Music going in the background. In the game, whenever I press esc to go into the menu or to get out of my inventory, it'll switch to Google in the taskbar (indicated by the little blue bar under applications growing or shrinking) and then if i press esc again, it'll go back to minecraft and open the menu. Not only that, but whenever i press tab to fill a command in the chat, it'll bring up the menu to switch tabs between Google and Minecraft. And, when i try to type on any other application other than minecraft, it simply will not type. Idk why this happening. Even after i close minecraft i can't type on any other website or anything. The only way i've discovered is to fix it, which is what i did before typing this out. What on earth is going on and how does one fix it
