SBI credit card rejected twice
Hi everyone,
I have been working for a little over two years now and my salary of around 70–80k has been coming into my SBI account throughout this time. I also have about 10L just lying in the savings account.
I have absolutely no credit history. It is completely blank.
I applied for the SBI Cashback Card last November and got rejected right away. I realize now that it was not the best choice for a first card. Last month I tried applying for the SimplyClick card through the YONO app. The app suddenly logged me out and after I logged back in, the application was marked as rejected even though I never finished it.
My question is, what should I do next? Would going to the branch help? Or should I start with an FD backed credit card first? I am wondering if a salary of 80k a month in the same bank is still not enough for them to offer me a basic credit card.
Would appreciate your thoughts.
