Koh Yao Yai

We’re a family of four staying on Koh Yao Yai which is such a beautiful and relaxing place.

I have a few questions:

I see a lot of people riding/renting scooters and suggests we do the same to get around and see the island, which I would love! But I’m concerned as we a traveling with a 3y/o. I see a lot of tourists here and on SoMe with their small kids on the scooters, but I am concerned about the/her safety.

• I’ve seen a few riding scooters with a side wagon (might be called different). Is it possible to rent one of these? I might be wrong, but they look a bit more safe than the alternative which is having her in the front?

• What are great things to do here besides relaxing and loving life of cause?

• I’ve seen a few people are renting private long tails and going on early excursions to Hong islands and a few others, and having lunch there before returning home. Which would be great - does anyone have experience with such?

• I read batik is an on tradition here. Is there a place to go see or even try this?
