On my way to the yeeterectomy

Today’s the day! Well tomorrow’s the day, but it’s a 5 hour drive so I’m staying with a friend near the hospital tonight. I keep telling myself I’ve done all I can to prepare and that I’m totally ready… but I’m still feeling like I’m forgetting something.

The most annoying thing is that I don’t get paid until Monday and I’m down to my last nickels to just barely cover gas there and back. Not really enough for my wife to buy a meal while she’s waiting for me. I’m NPO today except clear liquids and I have my juice, tea, and a bag of snacks for the drive home so I’ll be alright. I just feel like nrgh about it.

We’ve borrowed my wife’s cousins nice SUV for the drive and it’s very comfortable so hopefully i can get in after surgery and sleep all the way home. Back up plan is stay back at my friends by the hospital or with another friend at the halfway point.

There’s just so many unknowns and thing a I can’t control and I’m a little stressed.
