Untill the oxygen returns

I will always remember the night

When your eyes lost their light

Turned from wondering blue, to knowingly grey.

A respitory breath as you awaited my hug

But your eyes turned me to rock. A sun- struck bug. My body still, my mind in shock.

When you left, you took my breath with you. You turned your back and swore to never look.

Shadows of after, every eyelash a wish for the pain to end

To this day, im waiting for the moment i can breathe again
