I'm turning 20 today. And here are things I've learnt as a teenage musician.

Serious
  1. If you have talent and you're full of passion nobody will give a toss. Because majority of people go for the commercial stuff where there's no passion at all.

  2. If you don't have money and you put your heart into what you do, nobody will notice as well. Because you're broke, you can't properly promote your stuff and it'll be buried in thousands of works by people chasing that same goal.

  3. If you're chasing rainbows, turn back. You'll end up burned out, just like me. Remain humble, be patient, maybe one day your time to shine will come.

  4. Don't count on your friends, most of the cases they won't care to listen to what you do.

  5. However, I recommend not giving up, maybe one day it'll work out for you. I've released 6 albums, nobody cared, it didn't work out for me, but I'll still keep trying. I hope it'll be different for you and you won't have to wait that long.

To sum up, dear teenage musicians I wish you all the best. And also I might be wrong, I'm just sharing my own experience. I hope yours is/will be different.
