Another "is this worth it" UV light post
We use a local company that comes twice a year to do seasonal maintenance on our furnace and heat pump. Our heat pump is located in the crawl space of our finished attic. The company is recommending a UV light for the heat pump since there is mold growth and it is quite warm and humid in the unfinished portion of the attic. We aren't concerned about indoor air quality.
I am concerned that there's mold growing in the unit and that it could potentially spread and become a major issue. My spouse is not concerned. r/hvacadvice what say you? Should we get the UV light? We've agreed to proceed with whatever the subreddit recommends.
I've attached the images the tech sent shared the description of the UV light. Thanks for your input!
