This could be any two character throughout the One Piece cannon. Personally, I think it would be cool to see some zoan match ups-- those two royal dudes from alabasta would be cool to see! (chaka vs pell) What do you guys want to see!?

Buggy vs Law would be interesting
Haki would be the winning factor for law.
People say this - but all armament haki grants you is the ability to tangibly harm otherwise unharmable substances. You can harm buggy through blunt application of force - but if you cut him, it will not harm him. Haki-imbued or not.
Why wouldn't it harm him? Isn't one of the perks of using haki to be allowed to bypass a devil fruit ability to inflict pain? Say you punch Luffy with a regular punch. It wouldn't hurt him. If you used a haki imbued punch it would. Wouldn't it? Or is there something I'm missing?
If Buggy is fast enough, he can separate before he gets cut.
If he actually gets cut, then yeah he's screwed.
If we're speculating about the mechanics of abilities and haki...
Luffy and Buggy have very different sorts of abilities. Luffy's body is changed; Buggy's body is still like a normal human's, except it can operate in sections. Just like a person who has been separated by Law's ability still has blood flowing from one part of their body to the other even though there's no physical contact, Buggy's body ignores the constraints of physical proximity.
Blunt force normally doesn't hurt Luffy because compression of his tissues doesn't disrupt his body's systems, given that all of his cells are made of rubber.
Let's assume that Luffy is still a normal person, but whose body is contained within a reality-warping Devil's Fruit field. There is a parallel reality in which Luffy's natural body continues to function, not made of rubber, because how could any of the chemical processes of the body work if everything was made of rubber? It's the only logical explanation.
A haki-imbued blunt attack applies that force to his body regardless of its rubberness; it transfers the force into that parallel reality, causing harm to Luffy's natural body which shows up in general reality as damage to his rubber tissue. Cutting Buggy's natural body would have no effect on his general reality body, because his ability would remain, and the distance between the two sides of his cut tissue wouldn't matter.
Same was said about Luffy, you cant punch him because he is rubber. But bam, Haki in your face.
The only way Buggy would beat a swordsman with haki would be if he sepparated his body prior to the hit to dodge the slash. But to do that he would need to be faster than the swordsman, which i doubt he is.
But isn't buggy's gig separation? That no matter how much he is separated, haki or not, he can simply piece himself back together?

Law gains control everything in his zone even though he cant cut buggy he can still mess him up with so many things(swap things, complete control on none animated objects, etc.). And have you ever wondered how he cut the elusive smoker which has a haki obviously stronger than buggy(if he ever had one)

Classic. I feel like zoro might win that one. But who knows-- a properly motivated sanji is hard to beat!
Side note: I also want to see zoro face off against killer.
If Kidd goes the villain route then in all likelihood Killer would be Zoro's opponent.

That's my problem with the whole haki thing, If Ace was so damn strong, why didn't he just infuse his fire power with his armament haki? I mean sure Blackbeard could have done the same, but the result of the fight was basically BB's fruit beat Ace's fruit, with little to no fighting skill involved.

He was essentially sliced open by Whitebeard and got away.
He has tenacity equivalent to the best of the best (maybe not white beard level who still calmly fights at an admiral level with 2 holes in his chest) but like Zoro/Luffy, he has an amazing resillience despite getting knocked down.
Shanks was warning about Blackbeard's strength without knowing anything about his ability, and the Darkness Fruit doesn't even confer much in the way of offense. Teach was just stronger than Ace.
