A few questions

Hello all !

I am playing an Ireland game and I would greatly appreciate a bit of advice :

My situation :

  • I own the titles of Kingdom of Ireland (my main title) and Kingdom of Hungary (crusade got me this one a while back)
  • I have medium crown authority and elective in both.
  • I conquered around 75% of scotland.
  • The ERE is pretty much the same
  • The HRE annihilated france and is very very big (75% of france + normal HRE + everything until my kingdom of Hungary).

My goals :

  • I would like to create an empire (Britannia), I have around 30% of it done.
  • I would like to destroy bits of the HRE, but not through direct attacks. ()

My questions :

  • I am wondering if I should usurp the kingdom of scotland, I can do it but it seems more harm than good. I am already getting annoyed buy having to carefully manage the elections in both my kingdom, I think a third one might end up being too much.
  • I am thinking about destroying the title of kindgom of hungary. I Would like to minimize the risks of having 2 election every time my ruler dies. Are there any downside ?
  • I can almost create the empire of carpathia. Any downside of doing it now (to get rid of my 2 kingdom titles and 2 elections) and destroying it later once I have the empire of britannia ?
  • Any idea how to make that big grey blob (HRE) smaller ?
  • What is arguably/generably the best compromise in crown authority ? Medium, High, Absolute ?

Thank you all for reading this :)
