Joy stick thumb grips

Hey guys just wondering if anyone knows how to remove the thumb sticks from the controllers? I’m not sure if they pull off like the legion 1 thumbsticks do. I have some thumbstick grips I want to put on but they’re such close in size to the actual thumb sticks I don’t think I can put them on unless I can get the sticks off. I just don’t want to try and lift them up and end up ripping it out
