How to change from team 1 to team 2?

This buggy mess of a game asks me for a specific formation to continue (Chapter 7) but it doesn't let me move two characters (>!Nikas and Ivan!<) back to team 1, so I'm essentially stuck. Is there any way to default team 2 as the one you're using to continue?
