Blackout dates gwp

Has anyone noticed that blackout dates don't include the actual holiday? For example this year it's Nov 25 and 26 but not Thanksgiving day. But also, there are no gwp tickets available for Thanksgiving day either! (I was looking for punta Cana to IAD). The blackout dates are usually the day before or 2 days before but then they don't have availability for the holiday either. This also happened to me for Columbus day, and they just gave me the old "not all flights are gwp eligible" even tho the day after was eligible soo. Thoughts? Let's discuss.
