Summary of Last Session (Thursday, November 27, 2025)

The Indian markets witnessed a classic "Sell on Rise" session, hitting fresh record highs before succumbing to heavy profit-booking.

  • Closing Value: NIFTY 50 closed virtually flat at 26,215.55, up just ~10 points (+0.04%)
  • The Volatility: The index opened strong and rallied to a fresh All-Time High of 26,310.45 in the first half. However, higher levels attracted sharp selling pressure, dragging the index down nearly 100 points from the day's peak
  • Sectoral Split:
    • Gainers: Financial Services and Private Banks supported the index. Top gainers included Bajaj Finance, ICICI Bank, and Shriram Finance
    • Losers: Auto, Metal, and Realty stocks faced the brunt of the selling. Heavyweights like Adani Enterprises, Eicher Motors, and Tata Steel were among the top drags
  • Institutional Data (Provisional):
    • FIIs: Turned Net Sellers of ~₹1,255 Cr (booking profits after Wednesday's massive buying)
    • DIIs: Acted as a cushion, Net Buying ~₹3,940 Cr

Outlook for Friday, November 28, 2025

Despite the profit-booking on Thursday, the outlook for Friday remains Cautiously Bullish with a likely POsitive Opening

1. Implied Opening: Positive Start

  • GIFT Nifty Cue: Trading data indicates the GIFT Nifty is holding firm above the 26,400 level
  • Implied Start: This suggests a positive opening, potentially pushing the Nifty back above the 26,300 mark at the open.

2. Global Cues: Muted Volatility

  • US Markets: Closed on Thursday for Thanksgiving. This means there are no overnight negative cues from Wall Street to disrupt sentiment
  • European Markets: Closed steadily positive (DAX +0.21%), providing a stable handover

3. Key Levels to Watch

|||| |Level|Significance|Strategy| |26,310|All-Time High|The immediate resistance. If Nifty crosses this, it enters "Blue Sky" territory again| |26,200|Pivot Support|Thursday's closing zone. If the gap-up fails, this level must hold to keep bulls in the game| |26,050|Critical Base|The major breakdown level. Below this, the trend turns weak|

Strategy: "Wait for Stability"

  • The Trap Risk: Thursday showed that higher levels (26,300+) are being used for profit booking
  • Action: If the market opens Gap-Up near 26,350:
    • Avoid chasing in the first 5 minutes
    • Look for Sustenance: Wait to see if the index can hold above 26,300 for at least 30 minutes. If it starts slipping below 26,300, it might be another "Sell on Rise" day
    • Focus Sector: Banks (Bank Nifty) are showing better strength than the Nifty 50
