Cleared for meds, revoked 1 hour later

Hi there, I'm 26f and was diagnosed with ADHD last December. Medication was recommended to help with my symptoms, which I have been working towards getting for almost a year now. I did a lot of research after being diagnosed, and thought a stimulant would be best for my symptoms. My prescriber was skeptical about my diagnosis (even though it came from a psychologist from the same counseling group) and wanted to tweak my other medications first to see if it would help. After 7 months of playing around with my depression/anxiety meds, which just made my symptoms all over the place, we started using Wellbutrin off label for ADHD. While it has helped with my depression, my ADHD symptoms have never felt worse. I'm constantly paralyzed with executive dysfunction which worsens my anxiety and depression. I will just sit and ruminate on everything I could be doing but I physically cannot get myself to. This caused me to enter a Partial Hospitalization Program to help manage my symptoms. The prescriber at this PHP said that proper medication could help, and prescribed me Vyvanse. She wanted to get an EKG from me before I started the medication to check on the state of my heart. I went to my primary doctor and explained the situation, including what medication I would be starting on. We did the EKG, and my primary said things looked good. I sent over the results to the PHP, and was cleared by the provider and nurse to begin the meds. Not even an hour later, the nurse calls me back saying according to a second opinion from a different nurse, I am actually NOT clear to start the meds. They are saying my baseline is too risky to take a stimulant, even though my primary medical doctor said I was fine. I am so incredibly frustrated about this. The nurse told me today that I can talk to my primary doctor about starting the medication, but it would be on them if anything bad were to happen. I literally already had the meds in my possession two days before finally being told no.
