Any harm or benefit to rubbing soft persimmon on face?

face/ears/eyes/nose/mouth/cheeks

We have a lot of ripe Hachiya persimmons this time of year. Too many really. Been trying to eat them, but I was also thinking it might make a good facial mask. So for two days in a row, I rubbed the inner part of the skin (very gelatinous) all over my face, waiting half an hour, then washed it off. My skin was sooooo buttery soft afterwards (it then starts to turn back to normal, a bit rougher, after a few hours).

I'm wondering is there any harm to doing this? Or benefits? I think the acids in the persimmon might be similar to a peel which is why it felt so soft afterwards. Maybe I shouldn't do it every day, but any harm or benefit in doing this maybe once a week?

Thanks in advance for any advice/thoughts!
