Burnout
Audhd 32f. I live with my partner, we have lived together for roughly 7 years. This is our second apartment together and we have lived here for maybe 3 or 4 years. My partner wants us to move when our lease ends in June. It absolutely makes sense for us to move. When we first moved in here we both had jobs that were fairly close, and now both have jobs closer to the area she wants to move. Under normal conditions, while I really don’t like moving, I’d be up for it. Unfortunately I’ve been stuck in an ever worsening burnout cycle for several years now. I’ve talked to multiple professionals who advise taking months to years off of work to recover. This is not actually possible for a variety of reasons. As of right now I don’t feel like I could handle a move, even just thinking about it is distressing. I don’t think I would make it through a move without it having a massive negative effect on my well being. I don’t really know what to do. I think asking my partner to stay at our current place would be really unfair to her for several reasons. Does anyone know how I can try to recover from burnout without having to basically quit my job? Or how I can make a move bearable?
