Dies Irae is found in the final mission Free Rapture Orbit Elevator where the pilot previously hired you to clear the security of Rapture so this loser and his friends could take over. According to the Earth Government this guy is “one of the most feared Ravens on Mars” which means the Mars Raven must really suck because this AC is kinda ass and a huge disappointment for the final AC and opponent of the game.

Not even gonna sugarcoat it, the frame is kinda bad with a few exceptions. The head is the ZHD-AG/TURRET and this thing has 1 purpose, to give you as much armor as possible. The weight is pretty good being only 197 while the energy drain is kinda high at 538. The Armor is second highest at 1000 which is only 12 lower than the GN-92. The defense is ok but this thing offers nothing in terms of features. No radar, no sensors of any kind, no map and only a standard computer. Literally armor and nothing else from this so its bad.
The core is the standard XR00 mid-weight core. Good armor, good defense, not super heavy, has a built-in missile defense system with only 11 optional slots and ok energy drain. The lack of optional slots hurts this is AC.
For arms we have the 414/SLA, same arms as Haze. These are the heaviest arms at 1400 which is on par with some heavy-weight arms, the energy drain is the second highest of all arms at 1510 but they have good armor at 1702. The defense is kinda crap with most of it going into energy defense. At least the energy supply these arms offer is kinda good at 110. Still bad arms overall.
The legs are the XA1/FA mid-weights. They are kinda heavy, the have a huge energy drain at 2350 but they offer tons of armor and great defense with a specialization in energy defense. These also offer a great weight capacity with some decent mobility. I like these legs.
The GEX/3000 boosters are back which offer a good balance between power and drain but they are a high-power model. These bad boys can bring the boost speed of this AC up to 315 which is pretty damn good but that’s where the good news ends.
Unfortunately this AC is overweight and has high energy usage with the total usage being 7173. Mix that high energy usage with the high energy drain from the boosters plus the main weapon being a laser rifle and you have a bad time. The B999 is the generator that you will need at least but the B1000 is preferred. Using the SEED generator means your energy recovery is practically nonexistent.

So with the frame out of the way we can talk about the weapons and they are not much better. The main weapon is the XC/01 laser rifle. This is kinda light a discount KARASAWA and I mean discount. The weight is only 469 which is lighter than most rifles and machine guns. This thing has 65 shots doing “600” damage but it feels way weaker than that like its closer to 300. You would think that less power means less energy usage and you would be wrong, This weapons uses almost the same amount of energy as the KARASAWA while doing almost 3x less damage. This gun looks cool but I hate it as its only really good at dealing with light MTs. It doesn’t even 1 shot helicopters and you have to spend most of the ammo to kill an AC.
On the back are 2 missile launchers. First is the M55/6 middle missile launcher. This thing is kinda heavy at 741 but it does great damage at 1350 per missile and has a total of 36 missiles available. At 500 range you can keep some distance while you use this and it has a max lock of 6. I find this to be a pretty reliable missile launcher as it doesn’t have any weird flight paths and it doesn’t wobble in the air. It fires straight, has good tracking and does plenty of damage so really good launcher.
The other launcher is the GT/00 ground torpedo launcher. A pain in the ass to unlock but can be pretty good. This only has 14 shots but each torpedo launches 4 missiles each doing 780 damage. If you can hit these things do plenty of damage and they have great tracking. The only issue is the terrain since if the ground slopes up you are probably gonna miss every shot. Very hit or miss on if these work or not.
The last weapon is the usual 3443 blade, not bad but not great. The arms allow this blade to get a small damage boost and the boosters allow you to close in pretty fast if you need to use this. Not much to say about this weapon but a blade is always a good idea to have.
Again we also have the damn BB210 back boosters. I still don’t see much use for them and like every other time they are on an AC these could simply be removed and it would increase energy recharge and make the AC not be overweight. Seriously, just remove these and most of the ACs using them would work better.

Dies Irae is a big let down for the final AC of Another Age and I have no idea how this is considered one of the most feared ACs on Mars. The whole AC could be way better by changing or removing just a few parts but instead we got an overweight and poorly preforming AC that you would find in the mid ranks of the arena. My disappointment is immeasurable and my day is ruined.

\-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

With this AC finished I am finally done with the ACs from Another Age as I having taken screenshots of, built, painted and tested 27 ACs from this game. I didn’t review Wonder Raid or Kaisei (A.K.A. Ring World) as someone else has already reviewed those along with many other title ACs.
I plan to move on to AC3 and Silent Line and review the missions only ACs from those games. I didn't count how many there are but I am thinking its around 10 or less. Besides those ACs I do have some other things I will be testing based on some comments and ideas from my previous reviews so those should be fun.
I have been having a lot of fun doing this and I have learned some new things about this old game. Hopefully some of you have enjoyed these and learned something new as well.
Finally I hope everyone had a good Thanksgiving and didn't get into a fight at the dinner table.

Later Ravens.
