Help: good watches?

Hey! I’d like to get my boyfriend a nice watch but I’m sort of lost. I got an ad for this EcoWoodWear company and I thought they looked cool, but as I was doing research it’s apparently tacky looking to have a wooden band watch?

What do you all recommend/think? This one would be more so for when we go out to dinner, events and etc not really a daily wear. He doesn’t like super flashy things either, so any nice, good looking minimalist ones would be great! 🙂
