Scale and paint question...

I'm trying to do a display of Optimi from across the franchise, and was wondering how the RED Optimus Prime compares scale-wise to the Earthrise mold. Wanting to find a way to the Action Master Prime, but wanted to ask some questions before I got started on anything that was going to cost money. Also, how does the plastic on RED Optimus take to being repainted?
