I mean, really ,people keep saying that he was ruined in the Amazon series, saying that the pilot is better is because he was cool, mysterious and threatening and that his character changed while in fact, it was just shown who he truly is.

Season 1 already hinted that his gentleman personality are all just a facade, in the pilot he was just acting nice in front of charlie to convince them, as season 2 has him showing more emotions, he is in truth just a petty narcissist psychopath man child who wants to be the center of attention.

People saying that his swearing is out of character, but in fact it's not, it shows that he is also prone at being as petty as anyone else, when he swears the first time, it showed that Lucifer really gets underneath his skin, he can't handle someone more important than him being there, he even quits the hotel in season 2 just because he was mocking him.

People judge his entire character by the pilot alone, it was just one episode and he just appeared in the last 10 minutes you can't judge the entire character by their first appearance, the show didn't change his character, it just added more to it, I really don't understand the "he was mysterious" criticism, what?, do they really expect a character to stays mysterious forever.

Overall, people really fell for his cool charismatic gentleman mask, it was all a facade to hide who he really is,season 2 showed that he was a serial killer who murdered people for "fun" and at one point killed someone simply for spilling drink on him, it was even shown that he was forced to work at the hotel and for the entertainment excuse was just a lie, people are really misunderstanding his character
