Upgrade?

Should I upgrade my ares ion to an eclipse? I love the ion but I rarely play it simply because as a solo ship it’s not a great choice and very niche. I have never played with the eclipse. But it seems much more practical for solo flight. I don’t imagine I’ll be playing in some large or moderate size fleet to get any worth while use out of the Ares Ion. But, I’d like some feedback from you guys just based on the two ships. Let me know your thoughts
