Hi - I'm sober.
I want to start a real conversation — not the sugarcoated “I got sober and everything’s perfect now” version people like to post for likes. I mean the truth. The messy truth. The truth you only say when you’re around people who’ve lived it too. I was on the streets for over two years, bouncing from trap house to trap house, losing everything I ever loved — my kids, my husband, my sanity, my body, my hope. I honestly believed there was no version of the world where I could ever get my life back. And fentanyl… Blues… That powder had me chained to the floor. I didn’t breathe without it. I didn’t think without it. I didn’t exist without it. It convinced me I was done. Finished. Buried. A ghost walking around waiting to die. But somehow… I didn’t die. I got sober. My husband– who I had been so sure I was done with, sure he was done with me helped me get off the streets and into a rehab. –as soon as he got out of prison that is…. But that's part of my story for a different time. I got off everything — especially the blues/fentanyl that had its hands around my throat for years. I crawled out of that life one miserable inch at a time. And now I’m rebuilding. Slowly. Stubbornly. With shaking hands and a hungry heart. I want to hear from others who survived what should have killed us. What does life look like AFTER? What’s real? What’s hard? What’s healing like? What does “normal” even mean now? No judgment. No shame. Just survivors talking to survivors. Drop your story. Tell your truth. Let’s help each other climb out of the wreckage and into whatever comes next. I’m here. Ready to talk. Fully listening. I'm here.
Short side note:🫣 I’m still figuring out Reddit, and honestly I might look a little lost here and there. If you catch me slipping, don’t be shy—help is welcome, even if it comes with a friendly roast. I can handle it. I’m here to level up. 🤓🤭🙃🙂
