[Spoiler] Episodes 7 & 8 of Dear X — When Everything Starts to Break
Episodes 7 and 8 of Dear X feel like the moment the whole drama shifts gears. Episode 7 starts with Ah-jin on top of the world, handling scandals with confidence, taking control of her relationship, and even outplaying Le-na once again. For a second, it almost looks like she’s finally getting the peaceful life she’s been fighting for.
And then Episode 8 pulls the rug out from under everyone.
Kyung-suk’s fall, the emotional weight of the funeral, Jun-seo’s growing suspicion, and In-gang spiraling into heartbreak create a completely different atmosphere. The tension is constant, and every character is forced into uncomfortable questions about loyalty, truth, and how far they’re willing to go. The tragedy that follows is brutal, and it sends Ah-jin into the center of public fury just as old enemies resurface and new ones appear in the shadows.
These episodes reveal the real emotional core of the drama: Ah-jin’s complexity. She’s sharp, wounded, unpredictable, and painfully human and the flashbacks with Kyung-suk remind us how blurry the line is between her intentions and her survival instincts.
