Quick Question

I've never played MapleStory before and my friends wanted me to join so I made an account, downloaded the game and made a character today. They said go on the Kronos server so I did. But they said they couldn't find my character. Apparently I was supposed to go on the Kronos CHALLENGER server and not the regular one? No big deal, I delete the character and go to Challenger and remake it. But now I don't have that Hyper Burning option. I asked them if that's only for Kronos and they said no it's once per account and you used it. But I had about 1min played on that character?! They said I'd have to make a new gmail account and a new MapleStory account and everything? What?

I think I should just uninstall?
