Sharing what a Hisense customer service rep told me ( Shocking)

Problem

So I got a 100 inch TV from Costco (Hisense). I opened the box and it was missing the remote. Not a huge deal since I was going away for work, so I contacted Hisense for a replacement. After seven days of waiting on a 3,400 dollar TV, I called and asked if they could please expedite it or tell me which remote to buy on Amazon.

The rep said getting a replacement remote takes time. I said it wasn’t my fault it was missing from the box. The rep said, “We can’t make this appear in your house out of thin air.” I said I understood, but they didn’t need to talk to me like I was a child. The rep then said, “You are acting like one.”

I lost it. Luckily I was calling from work and the call was recorded.

I reached out to the CEO of Hisense with the recording and also contacted Costco because the whole thing was crazy. Hisense called me the next day and said they would deal with it internally, which is fine. The remote shipped overnight the next day with no issues. They explained that sometimes packaging mistakes happen. I get that, and the missing remote was never the real issue.

But think about a customer spending that much on a TV, waiting over seven days for a missing part, and being told by a rep that they are “acting like a child.” If you don’t like your job, don’t do it. There are plenty of people who would love it. I will say that if you buy a HISENSE TV make sure you get it from Costco. Costco will reach out to the company and they will not accept any vendor from them talking to a customer so poorly... Costco is great.
