Copper IUD and constant cramping

So I’ve had the Copper IUD for 8 months and for the past two to three months I’ve been noticing more consistent cramping (not sharp stabbing but more of the dull ache) throughout the month, not just around my period. I expected the IUD to make my cramps and period worse because those are well known side effects, but I didn’t think I’d have cramping throughout the month. I think it might have to do with the fact that I’m cramping around ovulation, but this was not the case before I had the IUD or when I first got it. Does anyone else have constant cramping on the copper IUD? It’s not horrible cramping but it’s enough that I need advil almost every day. Does this go away after a year or something? It’s really annoying!

ALSO, I’ve had my IUD checked with an ultrasound twice and each time it looked normal and correctly situated, so I don’t think it’s misplaced or anything.
