Its always about her
It's been awhile and I just need to get this off my chest
Recently my great-grandmother passed away. It's been very tough on my grandmother (Nmom's mom); whose always been more like a mother to me then my bio Nmom.
Now a detail that's important is that my bio Nmom HATES my grandmother (but not enough to turn down a free place to live when I was growing up, a free babysitter when she felt like it, ect). My grandmother had several strokes a few years ago and it's a ghost of her former self. A bright, stubborn, independent woman who wanted to sniper in her youth but after a sports injury gave up on that dream.
It's been hard seeing my beloved grandmother, the woman who raised me have difficulty walking, speak slowly and will occasionally retell the same story, but she still trys to be funny and stubbornly independent at times.
So as the funeral for my great-grandmother drew closer I knew my bio Nmom was going to do something, the question was whether or not she'd have the balls to show up were she's not wanted (just about everyone on her side of the family has their own story as to what she's done to them and why she's not welcome but those are for another time).
My gut feared for the worst and I was on high alert. The day of the funeral I went to my grandmother's early to be with her incase my bio Nmom showed up trying to make this about her somehow. Throughout the day I stuck close to my grandmother and kept an eye out with help from my younger sister (who turns out had the same fear I did). The two of stuck close to our grandmother and confided in each other our concerns to help feel less anxious. Thankfully the day was peaceful and she knew better than to show her face.
It was later we heard from a relative who was congratulating my sister and I on going no contact with bio Nmom that Nmom made a Facebook post that looked like it was written by a high school. My sister and I checked it out when we went back to my dad's place, and Jesus...bio Nmom ranted about how she was that next of kin (bitch what?) and she apparently had the right to inform whoever about our great-grandmothers passing. Then included screen shots of her being rude to a relative who called her out for spreading the news without speaking with the other family first (this relative was pretty polite and professional considering how much she hates my bio Nmom). It just made my bio Nmom look delusional, and a bitch.
I'm just happy she ran her mouth on Facebook instead because I was ready to punch out the rest of her teeth if she showed up. My sister got a good laugh out of the Facebook post and wasn't the least but surprised. So we were right she did try something but it makes her look stupid. The funeral was a few days ago and I'm still on high alert and waiting for the feeling to go way.
TLDR: Sister and I were on look out ready to protect our grandmother's day of morning in case out POS bio Nmom had the balls to show up knowing no one would want her there. Thankfully she just did crazy on Facebook that makes her look stupid and like the absolute worst. Me and sister had a good laugh at the Facebook post and I'm waiting for my body to get out of crisis mode
