Does your spouse ask you to constantly "remind them / wake them up"?
My husband for as long as I've been with him has been a "can you wake me up in x minutes", "can you remind me to do x thing"? Now, for some context he's had 3 or 4 concussions in the past so his memory is pretty damn bad, while I have excellent memory. At one point, especially with kids I get tired of carrying the majority mental load of the house. Sometimes I'll wake him up when he asks me to, he'll get up half awake, say he'll get up and then go back to sleep wasting my time. I've since stopped as I've told him before you could set an alarm, you could set reminders on your phone that you're always glued to. I liked to help back then, but I'm pretty sick of it. He is currently sleeping through an ear appointment that he asked me to wake him up for, but I shouldn't have to be responsible for a nearly 30 year old man when I have appointments far earlier and I get up on the first alarm. It's annoying. He has been having to call another hospital regarding a referral about his concussions and I've reminded him at least 3 times and he still forgets... I wanted to cut him some slack because of his head injuries but again I'm tired of having to feel like a parent to a giant child when his phone could basically do what he asks me to do. Thoughts?
