enrolling in health benefits question

hey so i've been a partner since january and i'm doing my third transfer except this time imm going back to my hometown to live with my parents after a mix of things has forced me back home

anyways, my sm says that if i call the sbux benefits number that i can try to enroll in health benefits even though its outside of the week we're supposed to enroll. i'm currently on medicaid but i don't have the time, transportation, or the confidence to go to a doctor myself since my family is across the country

is that true? its also my first time being on health insurance and having it under my name so i'm not sure how it works or how to make sure a provider is in network

nonetheless im excited to start prioritizing my health because i am chronically ill and trans and reading over the benefits page is hopeful :)
