Washing to remove dyes

So I've been accessorizing my big breast toy and had a lil scare where some black dye seemed to rub off (thankfully gone now). I was told that hand washing in cold water and detergent for 30 minutes could remove the possibility of dye leeching, but I'm not so sure now.. Is there a way I can be certain clothes wont stain my silicone toy?
