Can’t find a job with theft charge?
2021, I found a purse in middle of road while door dashing and picked it up because it was scattered everywhere. There happened to be a gun inside of it and I panicked and decided to return everything but the gun. I stupidly made a choice to take $200 out of the wallet as I was looking whos purse it was, and then returned everything back to Walmart customer service for them to pick it up. They got my license plate from Walmart cameras and I was called in to by a sheriff asking about a found purse which I then said that yes I returned it to Walmart. At that point I called her back because I was scared and told her there was a gun in my car. Gave it to her, she then asked about found money too. So I went home and gave that back as well. Turns out they got into my texts because a gun was involved and saw me freaking out texting my friend at the time about the gun and the money and the next day she called me back in the office and arrested me for theft. I went to jail for 2 weeks and gave a petty larceny on my record for 3 more years.
It is so hard to find a job now. The one job industry available is the one that is extremely hard to do daily which is food industry.
Any driving jobs, cleaning jobs, retail jobs, any jobs that i could actually do..denied.
Are there places I can go to that hire people with theft charges? Like second chance places? I’m actually living in my van at the moment it’s gotten that difficult for me now. Thank you.
