Hear Me Out: Demi is Trying to Control the Narrative around Peegate

I'm not a Demi fan (I'm not really a fan of any of these girls tbh 😭) but I find Reddit/Tik Tok'a reaction to peegate and Demi's subsequent social media posts really interesting. While I agree that the pee thing is gross and I can't imagine myself leaning into it so hard, I understand why Demi is doing it.

By saying that fruity pebbles is explicitly about piss, Jessi put out a narrative that is meant to embarrass and ridicule Demi. Demi now has three options:

-Push back and try to minimize peegate: Demi tried this at first by saying "this was a one time intimate moment in our marriage" which was obviously a lie and only served to enrage the fan base. Fruity pebbles has appeared multiple times on the show, Demi literally put Brett on speakerphone to tell the story to all the other cast members, and on Demi made tiktoks about it. Girl we are not stupid lol

-Say nothing and hope it dies down: Literally impossible for a mid range influencer with no real talents and no successful business ventures who is desperately trying to make it big. Demi's only currency is people talking about her; she has nothing to fall back on if they don't. Also like anybody attracted by the influencer/reality TV lifestyle, she loves attention.

-Double down and try to make it her "thing:" Would be fine if it literally wasn't about piss. She is now piss girl. She is rebuilding her persona around urine. Who the hell wants that. She is attracting attention in the form of disgust and maybe some new fans who are attracted to the "idgaf yeah my old ass husband glug glugs my piss." Except, again, who the hell wants to be defined by feces and have a fan base who likes you because your sex life is about piss. Girl do you really want to be known as little miss peepee???

All in all she is in a bad spot and she probably should have just shut up, let the internet move on, and instead focus on real business opportunities (partnering with a makeup or skincare brand, launching clothes, ANYTHING). Because we know damn well Post is not gonna call her up that so their children's cereal becomes associated with kinky fecal play.
