parking tips for tower of power - holiday and hits tour at wells hall at the parker (ft lauderdale 11/30)

hey everyone, figured i'd share a quick rundown on parking for tower of power on 11/30, since the parker area can be a little tricky with traffic on show night. you definitely don't want to miss the down with the thinner man riff because you were stuck in the parking line.

first, if you want to skip the traffic backup into the official lot and avoid a big walk, check out an app like Prked. honestly, renting a driveway or garage a block or two away is often way cheaper than the valet and you walk right past the traffic mess. there are a few private lots and garages near the downtown area, like the one by fumc, that you can often book for $7-$10 if you look on one of those apps. it's worth a look to avoid the main entrance stress.

for the official route, the venue does offer complimentary self parking in the holiday park lot right next to the parker. this is the cheapest option (free!), but it is also the source of the main traffic choke point. you need to budget time for the traffic backup getting off sunrise blvd and making that left into the park entrance, especially since the show starts at 7:30 pm and everyone is arriving around the same time. the venue advises arriving 45-60 minutes before the show, so aim for around 6:30 pm to 6:45 pm to get a spot and get through the line and security.

if you want convenience and are willing to pay up, valet service is available for most shows at a flat rate of $25.00 per vehicle. the valet starts running about an hour and a half before the performance.

if the on-site complimentary lot is full or the line is too long, look downtown for other paid garages. the brightline ft lauderdale garage is about a half-mile walk and usually runs around $12-$14, which is a decent option if you don't mind the extra steps. just make sure to look for pre-booked spots on an app if you can.

one big warning for ft lauderdale street parking: the city has residential parking permit (rpp) districts. do not just assume you can park on a residential street nearby. check the signs because you will likely get a ticket if you park there without a resident permit. stick to the official lots, the valet, or a clearly marked paid garage.

hope this helps everyone and enjoy the show! tower of power is legendary.
