Tab S11 is disappointing

Hey,

So I've heard a lot of praise about the Tab S11 Ultra and after rocking a 2018 iPad Pro for 7 years I decided it was finally time to upgrade. And, although the hardware truly is impressive, I find the android tablet experience to be lacking in more places than I realized.

For one, there is video playback:

On the iPad I just open up Infuse and enjoy WebDAV, Plex, SMB etc. all in one place, with HDR/DoVi/Surround support. On Android there is... nothing? The plex app is good, but for WebDAV there's only Nova which sucks, because it buffers endlessly. HDR support is hit or miss, the Samsung player handles it different from Nova, which is different from VLC etc etc.

Also, WiFi connectivity is surprisingly bad. My Pixel 8 on the same access point gets 300-400Mbit/s, whereas the TabS11 struggles to get above 30, which makes high bitrate media consumption an absolute chore. Productivity is... fine, I love the window management in Android 16, but the S Pen is very disappointing, it's too small, too light and lacks shortcuts and functionality.

One of the most surprising things I've found, however, is that the UI rendering pipeline does not seem to be streamlined. On some apps like ChatGPT, there are some really annoying visual anomalies around the borders of UI elements and some things are visibly low-res whereas other native apps like gmail look incredible. Even the HOME SCREEN APPS look so bad and frizzy and low-res, it makes my eyes hurt. It's just all so... inconsistent, polished in some places, strangely beta-feeling in others. Kinda expected more for 1100€.
