Need advice on laptops.

Hi folks.

When it comes to tech, I am useless with it. My current laptop is dying and was bought as a gift, I plan to buy a new one but I have 0 idea where to begin. I asked for help and someone sent me a vid on the best laptops but once the person started talking about GPU and CPU my mind started to fry. What sort of specs should I look for when buying a laptop. I have a budget of around £6-700 and just need a list of what to look for. I don't need anything too crazy as I mainly use it for YouTube, Social Media etc but don't want a terrible one either. Thanks.
