I found everyone's experience on here so useful so I will post mine here. I'm a really anxious person and need to know what kind of surroundings I'm walking into - so I'll get detailed for those who need it (like me).

Interview was at 9:10am. I stayed in the Sheraton around the corner so no stress to get there. I showed up 20 minutes prior and there was about 7 people lined up in front outside. They call you by time. Dress weather appropriate as you will be waiting outside.

First officer calls you into the vestibule that is just before security and checks interview letter,  passport, and passport photos.

Entry allowed into security.

Security checks passport and passport photos again. Entry ticket given.

Security X-ray - officer checks passport and asks about digital items. All items put through x-ray (like airport security). My smart watch is put in the tiny locker that is only big enough for small items. It comes with a key.

Step through security and go up to first floor. Pass by officer who directs you to the officer at the table.

TABLE CHECK: This officer checks your documents, tells you what you need to pull out. There is a table to work on. Officer collects the relevant documents and puts them in a clear folder. You are given a ticket number with this clear folder. You are told to wait for your number to be called. It will appear on the monitors. There are about 40 chairs in the room. It is set up like a small DMV with about 4 windows for first round,  2 windows for finger printing, and 5 windows around the corner, with a bit more privacy for the interview.

The first round of questions was verfifying name, DOB, spouse, etc. These seem to be just security questions to see if you match what is on the montior. Super nice person! She said she was just checking facts. Then she directed me to the line up for fingerprinting. After being fingerprinted they tell you to be seated and wait for your number to show up on the monitor for your actual interview.

My interview was also very basic. Almost a formality. Had me take an oath. Officer was super friendly.  Questions were simple - ever been arrested, where do we plan to live, why I had lived in so many countries (which he said wasn't relevant, he's just curious how people get to live in so many countries). And then he told me I had been approved.

I had a great room of people. Everyone cheered people as they came out of their interview and confirmed approval! No one in my interview slot got rejected. It was all a pretty sweet experience.

Be prepared, organized, and patient. Everyone in the room is nervous, so there is a lot of nervous laughter and support from everyone. Honestly, it's not an experience many people get to have - so I look back with good memories of it. All the officers were exceptionally nice.
