Launching a Comic-Style Guidebook to NYC’s Bar Culture (Midtown Issue One is Live!)

Hey everyone. I just launched a project I’ve been building for years and wanted to share it with anyone who loves NYC, nightlife, comics, zines, or indie publishing.

I’m creating a yearlong comic book style guidebook series that maps New York City’s bar culture one neighborhood at a time. The first release is Midtown Issue One, a 96-page mix of original art, photography, bar profiles, maps, and an events section. It drops February 1, 2026.

The Kickstarter is now live, and backing Issue One helps kick off a full 2026 publishing run covering Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens, the Bronx, and Staten Island in monthly editions. This is the start of a full collectible series that blends comics, culture, and real NYC nightlife.
