Have you recently completed a kitchen and/or bath remodel? Can I pick your collective brains?

Hoping to get some ranges of experiences, costs, recommendations etc. If you are comfortable with giving out real final cost dollar amounts and company names that would be greatly appreciated. The kind of info I'm looking for:

DIY or Hired? Mix of both?

Scope of project?

Permit/code hurdles?

Financing offered through the contractor?

General experience with the ordeal?

And of course, what it cost you.

And yes, I've done some looking outside of Reddit but I think answers from folks who have done this locally and recently would be super useful. Thanks in advance!
