Varwolf mini plot obelisk glitch workaround

So the glitch in the Obelisk bit where it takes you to the wrong page and doesn't count it as completed (described here: https://www.jellyneo.net/?go=varwolf_mini_plot) apparently has a workaround that is shown in the short video on JN (same link).

I am not techy at all, and I don't understand what's happening in this video or what to do.

Can anyone ELI5?
