So I have 145 Thunder and 147 Thunder lights. Can I combine them?

So I have 145 Thunder and 147 Thunder lights. Can I combine them? I want to make my 145 trucks light. Can I use the thinner lighter base plate (and maybe also the hollow kingpin) from my 147 with the 145 trucks? Is it difficult? Is there any downside?
