Costco 77 C5 Black Friday offer?

Saw a bunch of people posting that they got credit from Costco for their C5s above a certain threshold and bunch of people confirmed that the the C5 77' would most likely be at $1,499. But I've been checking the online page as well as the local Costco warehouse price on the app and there is literally no change($1,999). What's going on? Any idea if the price is going to drop? Why give credit if they're not going to drop the price for others?
