'X (Bigotry) is just as bad as Y (Bigotry)!' Is WIDELY Misconstrued

Okay, this one is very simple.

YES

'Racism goes both ways/ Sexism goes both ways'

But NO

they are not "just as bad as each other" because they are only equivalent in ONE sense

In terms of the INDIVIDUAL, any form of Bigotry is unacceptable:

• A gay man in a group of straight homophobes feels just as shitty as
• A Cis man in a group of Men-hating women.

But the difference lies in the WEIGHTINGS and the SOCIAL outcome.

For example, black people who hate on white people for simply being white, this is Bigotry undeniably and shouldnt be supported at all, however it has nowhere near the same social/political impact as the inverse. It's the same with Misandry

We need to stop convoluting the two, because YES Bigotry should never be tolerated but the blatant whataboutism needs to end

That's why you can't use Bigotry to fight Bigotry, you can't have an argument as a white male with a black person who says "white people can't season" only to respond with references to Slavery?? What??

Or a woman detailing why men are emotionally weak only to reply with grape remarks??

No im not saying we should excuse either behaviours but for the love of God have some empathy and contextual awareness when dealing with this kind of thing.
