parking tips for whitechapel w/ bodysnatcher at diamond ballroom (oklahoma city 11/30)

hey okc metal fans, figured i'd share some parking tips for the whitechapel and bodysnatcher show on 11/30 because diamond ballroom can be a real cluster getting in and out, even with their big lot. everyone knows the free parking is great, but the line of cars trying to exit onto s eastern ave after the show is honestly brutal.

if you really want to skip the main lot traffic jam, i'm going to tell you about prked first. it's an app where local homeowners right near the venue rent out their driveways and garages. you can find a spot usually way cheaper than paying for one of the reseller parking passes you see online, and it lets you bypass the main entrance line, giving you a short walk right around the corner. definitely worth checking if you hate waiting in the car at 11pm.

for the main venue parking, it is completely free and they have a large lot out front plus a big dirt field out back to handle the cars. they always have staff directing traffic, which helps with flow, but it gets packed quickly, so you need to arrive early, especially since doors open at 6:00 pm and the show starts at 6:55 pm. they accommodate everyone so you will find a spot.

now listen up, this is the most important insider tip: do not try to park on a side street or at a nearby business and walk. the diamond ballroom is seriously in the middle of nowhere, right off i-240. there are no restaurants or other businesses you can reasonably walk to. leaving your car in a secluded spot that isn't the venue's well-staffed, well-lit lot is just asking for trouble like vandalism. for this specific venue, the free on-site lot is your best and safest option, even with the exit traffic. plan your drive, accept the queue, or use prked to get a head start.

hope this helps everyone get in smooth and you can enjoy the rituals of hate tour.
