Am I safe?

I downloaded a suspicious APK, installed it on my device, but when I went to run it, I changed my mind and uninstalled it. I didn't even open the APK. I use Kaspersky Premium and it didn't detect anything.

This happened this morning, I still have it on my mind, and just now I received a popup from my device saying that WhatsApp has stopped, asking me to close it or wait.

This has never happened before and it made me a little more worried. If you can help with any tips I would appreciate it. It was a fairly large game, over 700MB, so I didn't run it through TotalVirus.
