Hip displasia - how to get treatment
My baby has just been diagnosed with hip displasia, and I'm a bit unclear on the treatment route.
My GP has given me a referral to paediatrician, but I have a feeling that the paediatrician is just going to refer me elsewhere because they're not going to be set up to do the treatment themselves if it involves harnessing and regular ultrasounds to check progress?
I remember the hospital doctors mentioning a hip clinic at the hospital when they did her hip check, but I don't have the details and the GP wasn't able to tell me anything so I have no real idea how to reach out or what to expect. (Also, if anyone can recommend a good GP in South-West Sydney, please feel free to let me know.)
If anyone has any insight, I'm keen to get my girl into treatment as soon as possible and avoid any delay to her care.
For what it's worth, we're in NSW at the border of the Liverpool/Campbelltown areas.
