Trying to locate a disturbing anime film from the 80s or 90s.

Hi everyone,

I’m trying to track down a very obscure anime VHS I watched in the early 1990s in Malaysia (PAL format). I don’t think it was a mainstream release — it might have been a compilation or bootleg tape. Here’s everything I remember about it:

Approximate Era: 1980s–1990s
Format: VHS, likely imported or locally distributed PAL tape
Length: Around 45–60 minutes (maybe longer if stitched together)
Genre: Dark, adult-themed horror / cyberpunk / occult anime

Plot / Scenes I Remember:

• Protagonist: Young woman with long dark hair (brown or black).
• Costume: Starts in casual modern clothes, later switches to cyberpunk-style outfit.
• Weapon: Wields a large, straight, oversized sword.

Supporting Characters:

• Two other female allies:
  • One uses ofuda / magical talismans to repel demons.
  • One uses a gun in combat.

Key Scenes:

1. Hospital Shower Attack:
   • The protagonist visits someone in a sci-fi hospital room.
   • She enters a steamy circular shower, and is attacked by demonic tentacles emerging from walls and drains.
   • The attack is violent and painful, she begins bleeding, and collapses when the plastic sliding door opens.
2. Rooftop Final Battle:
   • On a skyscraper rooftop, the protagonist fights a large demon / evil spirit.
   • She stabs the demon with her sword.
   • The demon’s blood drips onto the rooftop floor and forms a glowing pentagram.
   • She chants as the pentagram lights up, red at first, then white, destroying the demon.

Other Details:

• The tape may have been a compilation of several obscure OVAs, possibly stitched together locally or imported.
• Brief cyberpunk city shots / flying cars appear in some sequences.
• Tone: serious, dark, dramatic, not comedic or erotic.
• VHS cover may have been dark, possibly featuring the sword-wielding heroine and a demon.

I’ve searched extensively and haven’t found anything that matches all these elements. It could be lost media, a rare compilation, or a bootleg tape.

If anyone has seen this VHS, or recognizes any of these scenes, even partially, I’d love any leads. Screenshots, VHS scans, or information about compilations from the early 90s in Malaysia or Southeast Asia would be incredible.

Thank you in advance for any help!
