Bookmarking, highlighting and annotating under 5.18.6

What so you think of the recent changes, that made this functionality very similar to that on Kindle for Android?

• Bookmark setting and clearing is now a single tap affair (it was two to four taps before) - this I like
• When you highlight a passage, options appear as tiny icons instead of previous large text - I am neither here nor there on this
• Previousli, tapping in the top right corner would display all (or at least neighboring) bookmarks; now you have to go to menu, select notebook icon and browse there. I see no option to display bookmarks only (there is one on Android); to be fair, bookmarks are obvious because they include the page thumbnail - I don't like this, at least add a filter
• If you highlighted something by mistake, there is no option to remove the highlight right there (that i can find); one must go to the menu, select notebook icon, locate the highlight, tap menu, select "delete", confirm - this I hate
