Yarbo snowblower/plow
First run this year for us with the snowblower and plow. I got pretty mixed results. The early snow is always pretty wet and heavy. So I started with the plow and things were great. But then the lake effect snow machine starting dropping more snow than the robot could keep up with. So I removed the plow and watched it get overwhelmed in the wet heavy snow. The snowblower became clogged and it would just push the snow into a pile. After than, it had trouble getting over the slushy pile and nonsense ensued. This was a repeatable pattern that went on for as long as I was willing to keep pressing the resume button. I really wonder if it needs weight to act as a counterweight especially with the plow mounted to the module. I noticed that when the module was at full height, the rear is sometimes floating in the air. It also has trouble getting back on the dock to charge. As it backs up the nose just tips forward removing weight from the tracks then it slips. Additionally, using the module at a raised height also allowed snow to pack on the bottom of the module to the point that it could no longer drop to 0.0. When I got it back, it probably had 2” of snow/ice/slush packed onto the bottom. I’m charging now but I think I’m going to park it in the garage and give it a good defrost. Then respray it with the snow and ice spray and try again. We had great results last year once the ground was completely frozen, but that’s not what we get with November snow. Does anyone have tips or procedures to help this thing succeed?
