Wood countertop/sink
I have decided to go with wood countertops in my kitchen remodel. I live in a 125 year old farmhouse, and the (now chipped) black granite just never looked authentic to the house.
I’m also going with an undermount apron front farm sink. I have considered whether or not to do some kind of stone around the sink to protect the wood, but nothing I see looks good to me, plus there is the whole authenticity issue. My countertop builder is going to use tung oil and hardwax and I understand there will be maintenance keeping the wood dry and oiled.
Am I going to regret it? Any ideas on a solution? It’s what I want, but can be convinced otherwise.
Thanks in advance!
