Ergodash not Picking Up Right Side

Hey everyone, I finally got around to building my ergodash after collecting the parts over the past couple of months. Now I am having trouble flashing it, I flashed the Via .hex file to both sides and when they are connected only the left side types and the power led is on the right side so I assume the TRRS cable is working. I can also plug in the right side and it results in the left side keys being pressed, I am unsure if this is normal.

Does anyone have any ideas? Maybe a new TRRS cable? Possibly wrong orientation of the pro micros? Flashing tips?
